Contest Rules

The “Cast Yourself: A Social Distancing Contest” is sponsored by Casting Buffalo and Castingbuffalo.com. This contest is governed by these official rules. By participating in the contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and understands that the results of the contest, as determined by Casting Buffalo and its agents, are final in all respects. The contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Casting Buffalo and not Facebook.

ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of their respective countries where not prohibited by law, who are Eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry who have Internet access and a valid e-mail account prior to the beginning of the Contest Period. Casting Buffalo has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant.

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD
The contest entry period begins April 1st, 2020  and ends at April 19th, 2020 at 11 PM EST.  All entries (submissions) must be received on or before the date stated during the submission period. Casting Buffalo reserves the right to extend or shorten the contest at their sole discretion.
HOW TO ENTER
You can enter the contest through the Casting Buffalo Facebook Page. You may enter as many times as you wish. An entry is defined as an individual video post on the Casting Buffalo Facebook Page.  All entries must be under four (4) minutes in length. All entries must be from a real published work of theater/film/television script. Please no content of your own scripts. 

WINNER SELECTION
All eligible entries received during the Submission Period will be tagged on Facebook with the tag @CastingBuffalo and posted on the Casting Buffalo Facebook page. A winner will be chosen based on the total number of likes on any particular submission. The total number of likes is cumulative per each submission and not a total count of each submissions individual likes. Each entrant can submit as many times but only a single submission will be tallied up for total number of likes.
The winners will be announced on Monday, April 20th, 2020 by 10 PM EST. Announcement and instructions for receiving the prize will be sent in a Facebook message to the potential prize winner. Each entrant is responsible for monitoring his/her Facebook account for prize notifications and receipt or other communications related to this contest. If a potential prize winner cannot be reached by Casting Buffalo within fifteen (15) days, using the contact information provided at the time of entry, that potential prize winner shall forfeit the prize. If a potential winner fails to comply with these official rules, that potential winner will be disqualified. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of eligible entries are received.

PRIZE:
Grand Prize: A one-hour private acting coaching session from Josie DiVincenzo Acting Studio—valued at $60, and a photo session package including two headshots from Nancy J. Parisi Social Documentation Photography—valued at $350. Winner must provide his or her own travel and means to attend the studio headshot session. 

Runner-Up Prize (2nd Place): Eight (8) free passes to admit one to The North Park Theater- Located @ 1428 Hertel Avenue Buffalo, NY 14216, Courtesy of Ray Barker, Program Director.

Participant Prize- Theatre School of WNY will be giving away Three (3) $50 Vouchers to randomly selected contest participants. 

Prize is non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prizes is permitted. Casting Buffalo and its agents, are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the selection and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Any attempt to damage the content or operation of this Contest is unlawful and subject to possible legal action by Casting Buffalo. INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS CASTING BUFFALO AND, THE FACEBOOK PLATFORM, ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON.  

PUBLICITY
By participating, each entrant grants Casting Buffalo permission to use his/her name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
